Zadané charaktery, zadané okolnosti, zadané situace, ale kým jak budou naplněny, to záleží na konkrétním momentu daného představení před divákem.

The main character - Korotkov - works in a match production factory. Out of the blue, he is fired from his position as the Office Manager.

Korotkov finds himself in an absurd sequence of events in a bureaucratic and totalitarian regime.

The more he demands an explanation, the more he fails to understand the situation. At the end of the production, we see a broken man, who no longer knows who he is, or even what his name is. He loses his identification documents, and thus, his identity itself. Hlavní hrdina Korotkov pracuje v sirkárně. Z ničeho nic je ze své pozice vedoucího kanceláře vyhozen. Ocitá se v situaci, v níž čelí absurdnímu sledu událostí v byrokratickém a totalitárním režimu.

Čím víc požaduje vysvětlení, tím hůře se mu daří pochopit celou situaci. Na konci představení vidíme zlomeného muže, který už neví, kdo vlastně je, ani jak se jmenuje.
